Boots Heartburn Relief Peppermint Flavour
Acidex Liquid - Peppermint Flavour provides relief from heartburn with acid indigestion.
Before you take Acidex: Take special care if you are:
• allergic to any of the ingredients of Acidex
• on a sodium restricted diet: 10ml of Acidex contains about 6 mmoles of sodium.
Tell your doctor if you are taking other medicines, especially: ACE inhibitors, analgesics, antibiotics, antiepileptics, antifungals, antimalarials, antipsychotics, bisphosphonates, lithium and penicillamine.
Acidex may be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding.
Acidex contains ethyl parahydroxybenzoate (E214), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216) and butyl parahydroxybenzoate which may cause an allergic reaction (possibly delayed).
How to take Acidex: To be taken by mouth, after meals and at bedtime. Shake bottle well before use.
Leave 1 - 2 hours between taking Acidex and other medicines.
The usual dose is:
• Adults and children over 12 years: 2 to 4 (5ml) spoonfuls.
• Children 6 to 12 years: 1 to 2 (5ml) spoonfuls.
• Children under 6 years: Not recommended.
If you take more Acidex than you should: Contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Storing Acidex: Keep out of the sight and reach of children. Do not store above 25°C. Do not refrigerate. Each 5 ml of Acidex contains: 133.5mg Sodium Bicarbonate, 250mg Sodium Alginate, 80mg Calcium Carbonate. It also contains carbomer, sodium hydroxide, saccharin sodium, ethyl parahydroxybenzoate (E214), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), butyl parahydroxybenzoate, isopropyl alcohol, peppermint oil, purified water.
