1. What Cystipret is and what it is used for
This product is a traditional herbal medicinal product containing centaury herb, lovage root and rosemary leaf. Each coated tablet contains 18 mg of powdered centaury herb, 18 mg of powdered lovage root and 18 mg of powdered rosemary leaf.
Cystipret is a traditional herbal medicinal product used to help flushing of the urinary tract and to assist in minor urinary complaints associated with cystitis in women only, y^based on traditional use only.
2. Before you take Cystipret
x Do not take this product if you:
• have a stomach or duodenal ulcer
• have or have had any pain in one or both lower sides of your back, which may indicate a kidney infection/ inflammation
• have impaired kidney function
• have fluid accumulation (oedema) due to a heart or kidney problem
• have been recommended a reduced fluid intake e.g. in severe cardiac or renal diseases
• are under 18 years of age
• are pregnant or breastfeeding
• are allergic to any of the ingredients (see section 6 for list of ingredients. This product contains glucose, lactose and sucrose.)
Tell your doctor:
before taking this product if you have an intolerance to some sugars (see section 6)
if you have or develop symptoms of a urinary tract infection (e.g. painful and/ or frequent urination)
if you experience fever or notice any blood in your urine
if you have difficulty passing water (micturition disorder and urinary retention)
if you experience any urinary incontinence

Directions
Adult women over 18 years of age: Take 2 tablets three times daily.
Not suitable for children or adolescents under 18 years of age.
Swallow the tablets whole with some water or other liquid.
It is advisable to drink plenty of liquids whilst taking this medicine.

If your symptoms persist or worsen
You must speak to a healthcare practitioner.
If you take too much of this product (overdose)
Speak to a doctor, pharmacist or healthcare practitioner and take this leaflet with you.
If you forget to take a dose
Continue to take your next usual dose at the usual time. It does not matter if you miss a dose.
If you have any questions or are unsure about anything, please ask your doctor, pharmacist y^or healthcare practitioner.

4. Possible side-effects
Like all medicines, this product can have side-effects. Possible side-effects are shown below.
Common side-effects (affecting fewer than 1 in 10 people)
gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, feeling sick or diarrhoea
If these become troublesome, stop taking the product. These side-effects are often only temporary.
Very rare side-effects (affecting fewer than 1 in 10,000 people)
allergic skin reactions
Stop taking this product immediately if you experience any allergic skin reaction.
If you notice any other side-effect not mentioned above, tell your doctor or pharmacist.

5. How to store Cystipret
x Do not use these tablets after the expiry date. The expiry date is printed on the box and blister pack.
©This medicinal product does not require any special storage conditions.
© Keep the tablets out of the reach and sight of children.

Keep the tablets in the blister pack until it is time to use them.
6. Further information
Each coated tablet contains 18 mg of powdered centaury herb (Centaurium erythraea), 18 mg of powdered lovage root (Levisticum officinale) and 18 mg of powdered rosemary leaf
(Rosmarinus officinalis).
This product also contains the following ingredients:
Tablet core: Lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, maize starch, povidone K 25, highly dispersed silicon dioxide.
Coating: Calcium carbonate, native castor oil, spray-dried glucose syrup, pre-gelatinized maize starch and modified maize starch, montan glycol wax, povidone K 30, shellac, sucrose, talc dyes: iron-(MI)-oxide (E172), riboflavin (E101), titanium dioxide (E171).
This product contains glucose, lactose and sucrose. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product.
Each pack contains 60/120 coated tablets.
