Ga'pseud Plug Linctug contains pseudoephed to reduce congestion and chlorphenamine, an
congestion and chlorphenamir antihistamine, to control the symptoms of allergies. It is for relief of allergic rhinitis caused by hay fever and other allergies.
Before you use the medicine....
X Do not use the medicine if you have..
• An allergy to any of the ingredients listed.
• Epilepsy • Taken MAOIs (monoamine oxidase inhibitors) for depression within the last two weeks • High blood pressure or are taking medicine for high blood pressure • Or give to children under 2 years old.
! Talk to your doctor if you have..
• Asthma • Kidney or liver problems • Heart disease • Diabetes • An overactive thyroid gland
• Glaucoma (raised eyeball pressure) • Bladder problems including difficulty passing water
• Prostate problems.
! Talk to your doctor if you are taking..
• Other decongestants • Medicines to reduce your appetite • Medicines which stimulate the nervous system (amphetamines) • Medicines which lower your blood pressure • Beta blockers for a heart condition • The antibiotic Furazolidone • Cardiac glycosides for heart problems • Any tranquillisers, antidepressants, sedatives or sleeping tablets • Any medicine for mental illness.
! Pregnant or breastfeeding Galpseud Plus Linctus should not be used in pregnancy or breastfeeding unless the doctor has told you to do so.
! Important information about some of the ingredients
• Contains sodium parahydroxybenzoates (E215, E219) and amaranth (E123). May cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed).
• It contains 1.9vol% of ethanol (alcohol), i.e. up to 154mg per dose, equivalent to 4ml of beer or 2ml of wine per dose. Harmful for those suffering from alcoholism. To be taken into account in children and high risk groups such as patients with liver disease or epilepsy. ✓ How to use the medicine
• Take the liquid by mouth • The normal dose is given below but your doctor may prescribe a different amount for you. Always follow the instructions given by the doctor or pharmacist. Adults, the elderly and children over
12 years:
• Take 2 x 5ml spoonfuls three times a day.
Children 6 - 12 years:
• Take 1 x 5ml spoonful three times a day. Children 2 - 6 years:
• Take / x 5ml (2.5ml) spoonful three times a day.
Do not give to children under 2 years old. Warning: Do not exceed the stated dose. May cause drowsiness, if affected do not drive or operate machinery. Avoid alcoholic drink.
If symptoms persist ask your doctor for advice.
! If you accidentally take too much
see a doctor straight away.
Possible side effects
Important side effects:
If you think you have any of the following side effects or symptoms, stop using this medicine immediately and see a doctor as soon as possible. • Severe rash • Swelling of the mouth, lips or tongue • Blistering of the skin • Fits. Other possible side effects are:
• Loss of appetite • Feeling or being sick • Constipation • Headaches
• Blurred vision • Anxiety • Tremor
• Dry mouth • Drowsiness
• Sleeplessness and other sleep disorders • Dizziness • Irregular heartbeat • Tingling • High blood pressure • Difficulty passing water in men • Hallucinations • Delusions.
If you notice these or any other side
effects stop use and tell your doctor or pharmacist.

Storing the medicine
Do not store above 25°C.
Protect from light.
Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Use by the date shown on the label. Active ingredients per 5ml:
pseudoepnedrine hydrochloride 30mg, chlorphenamine maleate 2mg. Also contains: citric acid monohydrate (E330), sodium parahydroxybenzoates (E215, E219), ethanol, amaranth (E123). carmellose sodium (E466), levomenthol, condensed milk flavour, orange flavour, glycerol and purified water. What the medicine looks like Galpseud Plus Linctus is a red syrupy liquid.
