1.    About this product and what it is used for:

This product is a traditional herbal medicinal product containing Devil’s Claw root dry extract. Each tablet contains 95.75mg of extract (as dry extract) from Devil’s Claw root (Harpagophytum procumbens DC. and / or H.zeyheri L. Decne.) root (equivalent to 335.13mg - 478.75mg).

Extraction solvent: Ethanol 60% v/v

Lifeplan Devil’s Claw Joint Relief Tablets is a traditional herbal medicinal product used for the relief of backache, rheumatic or muscular pain, and general aches and pains in the muscles and joints, based on traditional use only.

2.    Before you take this product:

DO NOT TAKE this product if you:

•    are pregnant or breast feeding.

•    are allergic to Devil’s Claw or any of the other ingredients (see section 6).

•    are under 18 years of age

•    Have or have ever had an ulcer (either a stomach and/or duodenal ulcer).

Talk to your doctor before starting to take this product if:

•    you have a heart condition.

•    you are taking other medicines, including any bought without a prescription.

Take special care with this product:

•    If your condition is accompanied by swelling of the joint, redness or fever, consult your doctor.

•    If your symptoms worsen, or do not improve after 4 weeks, consult your doctor or qualified healthcare practitioner.

Driving and operating machines:

Devil’s Claw may make you feel dizzy and drowsy. If affected, do not drive or operate machines.

3.    How to take this product:

For oral use only.

Adults and the elderly:

Take 2 tablets, 3 times a day immediately after food.

Do not exceed the stated dose.

Not recommended for use in children or adolescents under 18 years of age.

What to do if you take too much of this product:

If you take too much of this product (overdose), speak to a qualified healthcare professional immediately & take this leaflet and bottle with you.

If you forget to take this product:

Continue to take your usual dose at the usual time; it does not matter if you have missed a dose.

If you have any questions, or are unsure about anything, please ask your doctor, pharmacist or qualified healthcare practioner.

4. Possible side effects:

Possible side effects - like all medicines this product can cause side effects. The frequency of these side effects is not known.

These are listed below:

-    Digestive disorders - such as diarrhoea, feeling sick, being sick, abdominal pain.

-    Headache and dizziness

-    Skin disorders - allergic skin reactions such as rash and itching.

If any of the above effects become troublesome or you experience any other side effects, consult your doctor or qualified healthcare practitioner.

Reporting of side effects

If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or qualified healthcare practitioner.

This includes any possible side effects not listed in this leaflet. You can also report side effects directly via the Yellow Card Scheme at: www.mhra.gov.uk/yellowcard By reporting side effects you can help provide more information on the safety of this medicine.

5.    How to store this product:

Do not use your tablets after the expiry date which is shown on the bottle label after EXP. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. Return any out of date tablets to your pharmacist who will dispose of them. Keep the tablets out of the sight and reach of children.

Keep the tablets in the bottle until it is time to take them.

Do not store above 25°C.

Keep the bottle tightly closed.

6.    Further information:

Each tablet contains 95.75mg of extract (as dry extract) from Devil’s Claw root (Harpagophytum procumbensDC. and / or H.zeyheriL. Decne.) root (equivalent to 335.13mg - 478.75mg).

Extraction solvent: Ethanol 60% v/v.

This product also contains the following ingredients:-

Dicalcium Phosphate Dihydrate, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Magnesium Stearate, Stearic Acid, Croscarmellose Sodium, Maltodextrin and Silica colloidal anhydrous.

Each bottle contains 60 beige brown circular tablets.
