1.    WHAT THIS PRODUCT IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR

Napiers Herbal Slimming Aid is a traditional herbal medicinal product containing extracts of Bladderwrack (Fucus vesiculosus L.) and Clivers (Galium aparine L.).

Napiers Herbal Slimming Aid is a traditional herbal medicinal product used as an aid to slimming as part of a calorie controlled diet, based on traditional use only.

2.    BEFORE YOU TAKE THIS PRODUCT Do not take this product if you:

•    are under 18 years old

•    suffer from a thyroid disorder

•    are allergic to Bladderwrack, Clivers or any of the ingredients (see Section 6)

•    are pregnant or breastfeeding

•    are taking an anticoagulant medicine such as heparin or warfarin

Important information about some of the ingredients in this medicine

Each tablet contains 61.8 mg of sucrose.

If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this product.

Driving and using machines

No studies on the effect on the ability to drive and use machines have been performed.

3. HOW TO TAKE THIS PRODUCT

For oral use only.

Adults over the age of 18:

Take two tablets, three times a day, after meals.

Do not exceed the recommended dose.

This product must be used in conjunction with a calorie controlled diet and exercise.

If symptoms do not improve or worsen during the use of this product, a doctor or qualified healthcare professional should be consulted.

If you take too much (overdose).

If you take more than the recommended dose, speak to a doctor, pharmacist or qualified healthcare practitioner and take this leaflet with you.

If you forget to take this product

Continue to take your usual dose at the usual time. Do not take a double dose. It does not matter if you miss a dose.

If you have any questions, or are unsure of anything, please speak to your doctor, pharmacist or qualified healthcare practitioner.

4.    POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

No side effects have been reported. However, like all medicines, this product could have side effects.

If you experience a side effect please contact your doctor, pharmacist or healthcare practitioner.

5.    HOW TO STORE THIS PRODUCT

Do not use this product after the expiry date.

The expiry date is printed on the label and on the bottom of the carton.

This product does not require any special storage conditions.

There are no special precautions for disposal.

Keep this product out of the reach and sight of children.

6.    FURTHER INFORMATION

Each coated tablet contains:

40 mg of dry extract from Bladderwrack (Fucus vesiculosus L.) (5:1) (equivalent to 200 mg of Bladderwrack). Extraction solvent: Water.

50 mg of dry extract from Clivers (Galium aparine L.) (4:1) (equivalent to 200 mg of Clivers). Extraction solvent: Water.

Each tablet also contains: Tricalcium phosphate, sucrose, acacia (E414), talc (E553(b)), maize starch, stearic acid, shellac (E904), kaolin heavy (E559), titanium dioxide (E171), kaolin light (E559)

This product comes in containers of 100 glossy, white, round tablets.

Clivers, sometimes called Cleavers or Goosegrass, is a herb native to the British Isles. An extract from the leaves is used in these tablets.
