RINSTEAD SUGAR FREE PASTILLES

1. WHAT RINSTEAD IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR
Rinstead sugar free pastilles contain cetylpyridinium chloride, an antiseptic that helps to kill germs that can cause infections and menthol, which has a soothing effect. They are used to treat pain and soreness caused by mouth ulcers and sore spots caused by dentures rubbing.
2. BEFORE YOU TAKE RINSTEAD_
Do not take Rinstead if you, or your child, have ever had an allergic reaction to cetylpyridinium chloride or menthol or to any of the other ingredients in the pastilles.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Ask your pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
Important information about some of the ingredients of Rinstead
Rinstead contain a red colouring agent, amaranth, which may cause allergic reactions and sorbitol. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.
3. HOW TO TAKE RINSTEAD
Let one pastille dissolve slowly in your mouth no more often than every two hours. Children under 12 years old should not take Rinstead.
If you take more Rinstead than you should
If you, or somebody else, accidentally swallows a large number of pastilles, you should contact your doctor.
4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Some people may develop a sensitivity reaction to the pastilles. If this happens to you, stop taking the pastilles.
If you are worried by this, or if you think that you have any other side effects from taking this medicine, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.
5. HOW TO STORE RINSTEAD
The pastilles should be store below 25oC.
All medicines should be stored out of the reach and sight of children, preferably in a locked cupboard.
Do not take the pastilles after the date that is stamped on the carton.
6. FURTHER INFORMATION What Rinstead contains
Each pastille contains menthol 0.033% w/w and cetylpyridinium chloride 0.128% w/w, which are the active ingredients
The other ingredients are tartaric acid; amaranth E123; Rinstead oils; sodium ricinoleate; acesulfame potassium; acacia gum; sorbitol (E420); silicone antifoam, vegetable oil, beeswax and water.

Rinstead sugar free pastilles are available in cartons containing 24 pastilles.
