This medicine is a traditional herbal medicinal product available without prescription to treat minor conditions. However, you still need to take it carefully to get the best results from it.

What this medicine is for

This traditional herbal medicinal product contains Rhodiola rosea root extract which has been traditionally used for the temporary relief of symptoms associated with stress such as fatigue, exhaustion and mild anxiety. This medicine is recommended for these conditions based on traditional use only.

This medicine does not relieve symptoms of depression.

Before you take this medicine

This medicine can be taken by adults aged 18 years and over. However, some people should not take this medicine or should seek the advice of their pharmacist or doctor first.

XDo not take:

•If you are under 18 years

•    If you are allergic to any of the

ingredients (see “What is in this medicine”)

•    If you have liver or kidney problems

•    If you are pregnant or breastfeeding

Other important information

If you have symptoms of depression talk to your doctor who may advise you on appropriate treatment. This medicine does not relieve the symptoms of depression.

If you take other medicines

This medicine is not expected to affect any other medicines that you may be taking. If you are unsure about interactions with any medicines, talk to your pharmacist. This includes medicines prescribed by your doctor and medicine you have bought for yourself.

How to take this medicine

Check the foil is not broken before use.

If it is, do not take that tablet.

Swallow the tablet whole with water.

Do not chew the tablet.

Do not give to children or adolescents under 18 years.

Do not take more than the amount recommended above.

Do not take this medicine for more than 2 months unless your doctor tells you to.

If symptoms worsen or do not improve after 2 weeks talk to your doctor.

If you take too many tablets: Talk to a doctor or pharmacist.

Possible side effects

Most people will not have problems, but some may get some.

! If these isolated side effects bother you talk to a pharmacist:

•Allergic reactions (e.g. skin rash, red itchy skin)

• Low blood sugar (you may feel faint, weak, pale or sweaty) - the reason why this happens is not known

If any side effect becomes severe, lasts more than a few days, or you notice any side effect not listed here, please tell your pharmacist or doctor.

How to store this medicine

Keep this medicine in a safe place out of the sight and reach of children, preferably in a locked cupboard.

Use by the date on the base of the carton. After this date return any unused product to your nearest pharmacy for safe disposal.

What is in this medicine

Each film-coated tablet contains 200 mg of extract (as dry extract) from Rhodiola rosea L. roots and rhizomes (1.5-5:1). This is equivalent to 300 - 1000 mg of Rhodiola rosea roots and rhizomes. The extraction solvent is ethanol 60% w/w.

As well as the active ingredient, the tablets also contain microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, precipitated silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, stearic acid, antifoam emulsion, red iron oxide (E172), titanium dioxide (E171).

The pack contains 30 round red film-coated tablets.
