Do not take if you are allergic to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients of Asda Strong Expectorant Cough Liquid. Adults - Take one or two 5ml spoonfuls (5ml to 10ml) every two or three hours. Children from 6 to 12 years - Take one 5ml spoonful every three or four hours.
Do not give to children under 6 years.
Not to be used on children for more than 5 days without the advice of a doctor.
Medical attention should be sought If the child’s condition deteriorates during treatment.

Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride & Ammonium Chloride
Asda Strong Expectorant Cough Liquid Is taken to relieve symptoms of cough associated with upper chest infections.
Do not use
If you are allergic to the active Ingredients or any of the other ingredients of Asda Strong Expectorant Cough Liquid
• If you are breast-feeding or if you have liver or kidney problems
• If you are taking medicines for depression such as tranyl-cypromine, phenelzine or isocarboxazid or within 14 days of stopping taking these medicines
Do not use in children under 6 years of age.

• Suffering from a chronic or persistent cough, if you have asthma, suffering from acute asthma attack, or where cough is accompanied by excessive secretions
• Suffering from enlarged prostate, urinary retention, angle-closure (glaucoma)
• You have an intolerance to some sugars
• Do not use to sedate a child Interaction with other medicines
There is an increased risk of side-effects such as dry mouth, blurred vision, or difficulty passing urine if this medicine is taken with; medicines for Parkin ion's eg. procyclidine, orphenadrine, trihexiphenidyl; antipsychotic! eg chlorpromazine, clozapine, thioridazine antispaunodics eg atropine, propantheline tricyclic antidepressants eg amitriptyline, clomipramine. There is an increased risk of drowsiness If this medicine 1$ taken with any of the following;
alcohol; antipsychotic* eg chlorpromazine barbiturates eg phenobarbital; anxiety medicines eg diazepam, temazepam; shaping tablets eg zoplclone; strong painkillers eg. morphine codeine.
• Harmful for those suffering from alcoholism. This medicinal product contains 72 volK ethanol (alcohol), i.e. up to 568 mg per 10ml dose, equivalent to 14.1ml of beer or 6ml of wine per 10ml dose
• To be taken Into account by patients on a controlled sodium diet, this medicinal product contains 33mg of sodium per 10ml dose
• May cause allergic reactions, contains amaranth (EI23), contains methyl hydoxybenzoate (E218), may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed)
• May have a laxative effect, contains sorbitol (E420) with calorific value of 2A kcal/g sorbitol
Adults and children ovar 12 years:
Take one or two 5ml spoonfuls (5ml to 10ml) every two or three hours.
Children from 6 to 12 yean;
Take one 5ml spoonful every three or four hours. Not to be used on children for more than 5 days without the advice of a doctor. Medical attention should be sought if the child's condition deteriorates diving treatment.
