About this product ■ Asda Chesty Cough Syrup Guaifenesin Cherry Flavour is taken to relieve chesty coughs.
Ingredients ■ Active ingredient: Guaifenesin lOOmg per 5ml. Also contains: Glucose, Methylhydroxybenzoate E218, Citric Add D30, Sodium Citrate B31, Sodium Saccharin E954, Carmoisine Red E122, Caramel E150c, Cherry Flavour, Ethanol and Purified Water.
Dosage ■ Liquid for oral use. Adults, the elderly and children over 12 years of age:
Take 5to 10ml every two or three hours. Not more than 4doses should be given in any 24 hours. Do not take with any other cough and cold medicines. Not recommended for children under 12 years. Wipe the neck of the bottle and replace the cap securely without over tightening it.

Storage ■ KEEP OUT OFTHESIGHT AND REACH OF CHILDREN.
Do not store above 25°C.
Warnings ■ Do not use: if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. If you are taking any prescribed medicines or undergoing medical tests consult your doctor before using this product, if you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before using this medicinal product. Contains 4.4g of glucose per 10ml dose. This should be taken into account in patients with diabetes mellitus.
This medicinal product contains 2.4 vol% of ethanol (alcohol), i.e. up to 191 mg per 10ml dose, equivalent to 4.9ml of beer or 2ml of wine per 10ml dose. Harmful for those suffering from alcoholism.To betaken into account in pregnant or breast-feeding women, children and high risk groups such as patients with liver disease or epilepsy. Contains E122 - may cause allergic reactions. Contains E218 - may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed).
